23/8/10- Bob Collier by GriffEVERYONES FRIEND BOB COLLIER
As most of you know Bob died on August 1st after 7 months trying to
fight off leukemia. I was privileged to have known Bob for over 25 years
as a good friend and colleague. He was always a true club committee
member and willing to help in putting on events for the club, never did
he not turn up to help at any working parties and always had a smile on
his face. What great times did I, and many others, have in his company,
we shall all miss you mate.
5/8/10- It is with great sadness that I have to inform you all of the
loss of a much loved club member. On Sunday 1st August Bob Collier lost
his battle against leukaemia after picking up a chest infection. His
family were at his side. There'll be a whole lot more to say about Bob,
as he was very popular within the club and the motocross community at
large. For now though, the funeral will take place next Wednesday 11th
August at Moulton Church of St Peter & John at 3.00 pm. R.I.P.
9/7/10 EXCITING NEWS!!!
Our next event is round 6 of the SMC Championships on Sept. 12. In
response to criticism of Long Buckby in the dry summer months, we have
secured a brand new venue for this one. It will now take place at the
classy Silverstone MX Circuit, two weeks after the ACU British
Championships are held there. Entry forms are now online
here. Be quick
as this should be a very popular one...

1/7/10 CANCELLED I'm afraid. Crick is off due to very low entries. Its a
real shame for everyone who'd entered ,but its just not possible to run
a meeting with those kind of no.s. We'll try and put on an extra meeting
in Nov instead
Cheers

18/3/10 Important marshalling news! Our next meeting is on April 18 at
Long Buckby. This is the opening round of the 2010 SMC Championships. We
recognise its sometimes difficult to provide a marshal, and also that
some people seem to ALWAYS end up doing it. Therefore on April 18 we'll
be trailing a new system whereby any rider who provides a marshal gets a
£10 refund per AM or PM session. Cash refunds will be paid on the day,
after the appropriate session. This will be on a first come - first
served basis, and if popular will be rolled out to subsequent meetings.
18/3/10- Our first SMC Championship round at Long Buckby on April 18 is
fast approaching. Enter now please, form is
here.

had to be called off. Weeks of lousy weather have made it impossible to
secure a venue.
