The venue is Northampton Working Mens Club, 56a-56b Sheep Street, Northampton, NN1 2LZ, and it all kicks off at 7.00pm.

24/1/10- The H&H that we'd planned to run on Feb 21 has unfortunately had to be called off. Weeks of lousy weather have made it impossible to secure a venue.

26/10/09- Illegal riding is threatening the Wild & Woolly. Riders have been caught riding around the circuit without permission, and when questioned they apparently said it was ok as they were 'in the Wild & Woolly, and just practising'. Well, its not ok, and if we find out who it was you won't be competing.

19/10/09- The full results from Long Buckby are here. Also the final 2009 Championship positions are here. (subject to verification) Apologies to all the riders, and thanks for your understanding with regard to the late start. We were badly let down by the St Johns, but at least they turned up in the end.

15/10/09- The season finale approaches! This weekend at Long Buckby is the last round of the 2009 SMC Championships. Ring me Fraser on 01162796883 if you'd like a ride. Working party is Saturday at 12 noon.

7/9/09- Sad news
The Club has learnt today of the sad loss of Steve Barnwell who died of cancer on Friday 4th Sept. Steve was a member of this club for many years during the late 60's and 70's and rode Huskies and Maicos. He always had a cheerful face and was happy bantering with everyone. His two sons Jack and James are carrying on the sport where he left off. His wife Penny and his family always offer to help at the clubs events where possible. He will be a sad loss to the club members and we all send our condolences to Penny and the family.

Funeral details have yet to be arranged and we will let you know ASAP.

1/9/09- On 18 October we also have the final round of the South Midland Centre Motocross Championships. This will be our first meeting at the newly revamped Long Buckby circuit. Should be a great finish to the championships. Get your entries in early. Regs available here now.

25/8/09- Our next event is the final round of the South Midland Centre Hare & Hounds Championship at wonderful Woodend on 27 September. Regs available here now.

27/7/09- Two weeks to go until our next race at Crick on Aug 9, please get your entries in now!

13/7/09- Our next meeting is once again at the ever-popular Crick International Arena on 9 August. Entry form is here. This meeting was scheduled for Orton, but unfortunately opposition form the neighbouring village has stopped us from running there.

13/7/09- Our Club Championship round at Airfield Farm went off pretty well, despite quite low entries- Full report here.

11/6/09- July 12 is our next Motocross at Glenn Helen Raceway in sunny California. Ok its not actually Glenn Helen, its Airfield Farm Market Harborough, but its pretty much the same thing!

4/6/09- Just over a week to go until Woodend, get your entry in quick if you'd like a ride. Lovely venue, 3 hours on the track, give it a try.

18/5/09- Next Sunday (May 24) NSMXC are holding the first meeting at the newly revamped Long Buckby circuit. In recognition of the fact that the track rebuild has been done as a joint project between the two clubs, NSMXC have decided to offer all NMCC members the chance to ride this meeting at no extra cost. - Full details on their website here.

16/1/09- February's edition of Dirt Bike Rider magazine has a 3 page article on the 2008 Wild & Woolly. Its on sale today.

12/1/09- Hello everyone and a happy New Year. Our awards presentation is now getting close. As mentioned in the club magazine, there are trophies for all of the motocross and Hare & Hounds championship classes. This year our Guest of Honour will be ex-GP and British MXDN team rider, Mr Rob Andrews. On top of that there's a first class dinner followed by dancing into the small hours. Whilst we would hope that all winners will attend, the invitation also goes out to everyone as it is usually a great social occasion.

The venue is unchanged from last year- Freemasons' Hall & Conference Centre, St Georges Avenue, Northampton, NN2 6JA

1/12/08- Practise day at Tonymoto was a success on Saturday. Despite the freezing fog and tough conditions 31 riders made the long trip to Winchester. We'll definitely try and do more practise days in 2009. For some rubbish photos taken by me click here.
